Nyanga Rural District Council is pleased to inform residents, ratepayers, and stakeholders that the construction of a Weir Dam along the Matenga River in Sanhani Area, Ward 27, is now at an advanced stage. This important community development project is being implemented through a collaborative partnership between Nyanga Rural District Council, the Community Technology Development Organization (CTDO), and the people of Ward 27. Upon completion, the weir dam is expected to enhance water availability for domestic use, livestock, and small-scale agricultural activities, thereby improving livelihoods and strengthening climate resilience within the community. Council commends the dedication and commitment demonstrated by CTDO and the Ward 27 community throughout the implementation of this project.
